A video for thought

Here is a very interesting video. Though it really doesn't pose any great mathematical question, and is quite simple to explain using simple co-ordinate geometry, it did teach me something else ...a different lesson about life.

Often times, our lives are like the 1st short, with the different shapes being tasks that we do taking up all our time and energy. We do crib and complain about not having time to anything. Perhaps all that we need to do is then take a step back and rearrange the things in our life, change some priorities, maybe take a look at how things are and what the should look like...Maybe in the end, we did have the time and space but we just put things in the wrong order to just eat up every bit of time and energy we had...

Food for thought...ain't it?

according to me this isn't possible unless you stretch boundaries or fake the shapes...so u will not have time unless u stretch boundaries and work smart :) !!!

PS: Can you explain how is, that is shown in the video, possible ? ... i think it cant be, if shapes are assumed perfect and boundaries are assumed straight..this is a fake video i feel :)

@Rags It works because in the 1st time the fit is a loose fit...next time the pieces are a very tight fit. Infact in the second part the guy really squeezes the last piece in...only that all the space that is made is concentrated in one place...which is y u see the small slot...Couldn't find anything that hinted it to be a fake...But i think more than the scientific angle of things...i thought of it a bit philosophically.

no, i mean the intent of the video is to show that the trapezoid formed from 2 trapezoids and 2 L shaped geometrical figures when rearranged can create a hole..that way i meant it to be fake.

and when you mentioned, it can be explained using simple co-ordinate geometry..i thought you don't mean about tight fit and loose fit..so i got curious as to how could it be possible??.

and ya philosophical way of looking at it was good :)
