Satyam fiasco - The biggest loss is the trust we had built over the years!!

The news that grabbed the front pages from most of the newspapers and news channels is the Satyam Fiasco. Infact, people have almost forgotten the Indo-Pak debate and the defiance shown by our neighbour in admitting the role in the terrorist attacks at Mumbai.

However, what grabbed my attention was this. Not the article itself but the comments that some people had provided.

One comments goes like ---

"It is a well-known fact that the Telugu people are
all fraudsters. Don't believe their education and qualifications.
Everything is for sale in gultistan
"

Though the above statement is something that was written in utter frustration by someone, what i observed is that just by one man deeds a whole community could be harmed. I am not talking in context of AP'ites or Telugu people but the whole IT faternity.

I am quite sure that even companies like TCS, Infosys and Wipro will now be under stricter scanners by their potential customers. A thousand assuarances from bigwigs cannot really bring back the the trust which takes years to build. India still remains to be the cheapest option for most of the software services, however the level of trust that many reputed MNC's carried in Indian firms has definitly taken a beating.

Also, what has taken is a beating is evident from the comment i mentioned above. People would think twice before dealing with a company coming out of Hyderabad or for that matter AP on a whole.

Thankfully, so far no one commented saying that this a small incident!!

I just hope the best for Satyam.....

Alls well that ends well......
